Janvier 2022, le championnat du monde passe à l’ère hybride et découvre les nouvelles « Rally1 » qui remplacent les « WorldRallyCars » instaurées en 1997. Sébastien Loeb et Sébastien Ogier sont au départ du Monte-Carlo, chacun au volant d’une Rally1 différente. Suite à cette superbe bagarre entre « les deux Seb », Loeb finit par remporter le Rallye Monte-Carlo 2022 après la crevaison de son adversaire dans l’avant dernière spéciale. Il décroche ainsi sa 8e victoire au « Monte-Carl’ » pour son premier rallye au volant d’une Ford et pour son premier rallye copiloté par Isabelle Galmiche ! Il devient également le premier vainqueur de l’ère hybride en WRC, un moment historique à bien des égards ! []
