Met hun schilden kunnen de vier Romeinse soldaten de schildpaddenformatie vormen.
Het is 50 voor Christus. Maandenlang hebben de Romeinse soldaten die gestationeerd waren in de versterkte kampen van Adfundum, Aquarium, Laudanum en Grootmocum geprobeerd een klein dorp van ontembare Galliërs in te nemen dat niet stopt met weerstand te bieden tegen de indringers. Om de Galliërs voorgoed te verslaan, vallen de Romeinen aan met hun beroemde schildpaddenformatie. In deze speciale aanvalsformatie banen de soldaten zich een weg door het dorp, beschermd door schilden, voor en boven. Maar nogmaals, Astérix, Obelix en de dorpelingen zijn niet van plan zich zomaar over te geven. Ze nemen snel nog een slok toverdrank en ze trekken ten strijde. Het leven is niet gemakkelijk voor de Romeinse soldaten die met deze Galliërs te maken hebben. De PLAYMOBIL-set bestaat uit vier Romeinen met helmen, zwaarden en schilden. Voor meer stabiliteit wordt bij elke figuur een standplaat meegeleverd. Alle figuren hebben een wisselend gezicht dat de gezichten voor en na de slag laat zien.
